Really??

August? Really?? Well, what can I say. I am still a slacker when it comes to this blog. Hopefully it will become more of a journal of my new journey. On December 11 I will be having RNY aka gastric bypass. It was a decision that I did not make lightly. I researched it, and when my insurance decided to add it to our policy, I knew it was time. Yes, I have heard the horror stories. But for every horror story I have heard I have met a success story. I have been attending support group meetings for the last 6 months. I have chosen one of the highly recommended surgeons in Atlanta. Things will be vastly different after this surgery. One thing to note. It is not an easy way out. It is a tool, and if I do not work my tool, I will not be successful.

In other news, Mark is now well on the way to recovery from the double pneumonia. My car is fixed after forking out another $260 to correct a hack job COTTMAN TRANSMISSION did when they installed the $2500 tranmission back in June. My new best friend, Bob, at High Tech Tranmission, fixed it and even wrote a lengthy description of the DANGERS (fire hazards!!) that he found under my hood, specifically related from the tranmission hack. I have pictures of the puddles of transmission fluid in my garage and the stream of fluid that I left all through the neighborhood on the way to the gas station. It wasn't until I was leaving the gas station that my car actually became symptomatic. It was early morning so I didn't notice the puddle in the garage until later that day.

Now for the good stuff!
Here are some pictures of my little guy and a few more cakes I have decorated.

These were taken today. He took a nose dive on the playground at daycare.

Here we have our son climbing into the refridgerator.

These were taken playing at the park in our neighborhood.

These are my current cake projects.

This one was for a coworker having twins.
This one was for a coworker's baby shower. Her theme was lions and lambs.
This one was for a coworker's husband's birthday. Did you get that?
That same coworker had her housewarming party at the same time as the husband's birthday party. Here are her housewarming cupcakes.
