Summer's End
I was very happy to get back to work, but very sad to end my time with the boy. It was a great summer. He has become quite the brave fish in the pool. And now we are working on riding a bike! Here are some highlights from July, August, and September.

Summer Fun!
The last two months have been quite busy for all of us. Mostly because I have started a cake design company, and it has monopolized most of my extra time. With it being the end of a school year, there has been very little extra time! Regardless, summer has started, and Ian and I have a few visitors right now.
Ian's four year check-up was the beginning of May. Everything looked great. He is in the 99th percentile for everything, height and weight. Both are increasing exponentially (or at least that is how it seems). He is almost four feet tall (yesterday at the pop-up fair he was measuring 44 inches tall. Our scale here at home says he weighs 68 pounds. His blood glucose was 114, which made the pediatrician immediately go into caution mode. That coupled with the thrush in his throat concerned her. Four year olds do not get thrush. She immediately was concerned about diabetes. I have taken his fasting glucose several times since then, and they have been in the normal range (below 100). We go back next month so she can give him another once over.
Jake and Shelby are visiting now. Ian has thoroughly enjoyed having Jake around to play with. We have mostly spent our time at the neighborhood pool. Here are a few pictures of our summer so far. I have to give a HUGE shout out to Shelby. She has been great with these boys. She also rode the rides with Ian yesterday at the pop-up fair.

April in Savannah
We spent this past weekend in Savannah. My cousin Clay and his new wife, Leia, exchanged vows on our wedding anniversary. Mark and I were relying on our GPS to get us to the right location. Unfortunately, it took us in an entirely different direction that where the church was located. We arrived just as Leia was walking to the chapel. Mark took mostly video, so our still pictures are limited.
We also promised Ian we would take him to the beach. I was not prepared for how well he loved Tybee Island.
