Rock Ranch and Ralph's World

November has been a lot of fun. On the 8th we went to Mark's cousin's little boy's birthday party at Rock Ranch, in The Rock, GA. The birthday pavilion was located next to the petting zoo. They had tons of activities for family members of all ages.

On the 15th Ralph Covert and Ralph's World featured on Playhouse Disney played the Variety Playhouse here in Atlanta. It was Ian's first rock concert. He had a great time.

Halloween 2008

This was a super cool evening! We decided to join the HOA of the neighborhood for the Halloween trunk or treat and supper. There were plenty of children there to keep Jake entertained. We ran into some old family friends from Savannah. We all had a pretty great time. Ian was Yoda, Mark was a Jedi and I was a renaissance woman.

Sandi says she was dressed as a psycho killer. They always blend in with the crowd.

Not Much New Going On...

except my sister and her kids moved in last weekend. Due to "life" and the economy she needed a new start. So they are here for a while. We are getting into a routine, the kids are in school, and she has started looking for a job. Ian seems to enjoy the kids being around.

Here are some of our current pictures.

Now this is how you eat a cupcake!

I got tired of carrying around a diaper bag. So I purchased a small backpack in the hopes that Ian would wear it around. This is the only time we have been able to get it on him. Guess who is still carrying a bag around?

Eating breakfast at the Georgia Diner - Miss Louise loves when we come for our weekend breakfast.

Every night Daddy gives Ian his bath. They have the most fun!

Just Some Random Thoughts

I am sitting at my computer. The house is quite. Mark and Ian are quietly tucked away for the night. It is just me and the cat. For some reason this evening I am feeling very lucky. I am lucky to have found Mark- actually, he found me. I am lucky to have helped create such a wonderful little boy. I am lucky to have such wonderful friends that surround me. I am lucky to have two great, funny, caring siblings - even though we don't always get along or agree on everything. I am lucky to have such a loving mother-in-law. I am lucky to have such a wonderful career - as irritated as I get at it, I still love it. I am lucky to have a caring family - including the ones I don't get to see very often. And I am lucky to have such a wonderful mother. We do not always see eye-to-eye, but she has always been my biggest fan.

Goodnight

Another Year About to Begin

Next week starts the new school year for teachers in most of the metro Atlanta area. Mark asked a few days ago if we want to take bets on when Ian will get sick since he will start daycare next week. It has been great being able to spend so much time with him this summer. He is such a little boy now. His sense of curiosity is astounding.

Last week, he had surgery to correct double hydroceles and to "circumcise" him. Hydroceles are like precursors to hernias. They usually close up by a child's first birthday. Since his did not close, they needed to be corrected before hernias developed. The circ was to correct a hooded foreskin. My mama came up to help out. She was a total blessing. He recovered in just a few days.

Here are our latest pictures and video.
