Mid-Summer Update

It is actually pretty close to the end of my summer break.  I only have 2 weeks before I return to work.  I plan on making these last few weeks count with the little man.

He is quite the little boy now.  He says things like "I won't" and "I don't believe you, Mommy."  He is doing quite well with the potty.  And he is growing taller every day.  He can now place his hands underneath the faucets in the bathrooms.  Just a few weeks ago he was using a step stool to wash his hands. He also can reach the soda fountain at Burger King.  Thursdays are burger days.  He likes to fill his own cup.  I usually lift him onto my knee to press the button.  Now he can reach it himself.

We celebrated the fourth of July with our neighborhood.  There was a parade, cook out, pinata, and swimming involved.

Here is the video Mark made of the celebration.

We took a trip to Savannah the following weekend for my 20 year class reunion.  Here are a few picks taken then. These are the pics taken at Grandma's house.

Oh The Places You Will Go!

Well, our summer has gotten off to a stellar start!  Ian is potty trained!  Woohoo!  It just happened one day.  One afternoon Ian decided to sit on the potty and take care of his business, a 10-200 (a Smokey and the Bandit reference for those who do not know).  I could not be happier.  He now wears big boy underwear all day.  We still put him in a pull-up for nighttime sleeping.  However, since he does not have accidents during naptime and most of the time his pull-up is dry in the mornings, we will be putting him in underwear for nighttime sleeping soon.

There are tons of pictures I have not posted yet.  This will be my attempt to get them out.  There will many more to come.

First, these are from our trip to Wild Animal Safari back in April (yes, April).

The following pictures are from our trip to Savannah during Spring Break.

The following are pictures of Ian in his helper goggles.

These are of the video game player!

Portraits at 3 Years Old

Here are Ian's 3 year portraits.  We haven't decided which ones to get a frame.  I think I want them all!
