Updates on Tax Deductions 1 and 2

Well, school is out and I am now back home with my little man. It has been fun getting back into a routine. He has grown so much since I was home all day with him. Thursday, we went for his 2 month checkup and vaccinations. Now I know why children hate doctors. The needles on the syringes for the FIVE shots, yes, 5, he needed were longer than the needles I use for injecting insulin. It seemed like the needles would hit bone. All I was good for was wiping his tears and saying I was sorry.

This is a video Mark made of him and Ian one day while I was at work.

A friend of ours recommended what is called a "Bumbo" seat for Ian. It is the most expensive piece of foam rubber ever made. Here he is playing king of the world.

We closed on our house Tuesday. We will be moving all this month. I cannot believe the amount of "stuff" we have accumulated. I came up with the plan to pack one room a day. Hah! That is a joke. It is going to take me 2 weeks just to pack the office. I did clean out my closet. I filled 4 large, 40 gallon contractor garbage bags full of clothes and took them to the Goodwill.

The house is HUGE! It is about 3900 square feet, 4 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, eat in kitchen, living room, formal dining, den, a finished basement, and a screened in back deck. It was built in '76 and still has the original wall double oven, and the den has the dark brown paneling as wainscoting. It has been empty for the last year and is in need of some love in the form of paint and elbow grease. We got a deal on it, with it appraising at almost $25,000 more than what we are paying. It is nice going into a mortgage with equity already in it.
